Leadership boards

Here are some more of the boards, there are lots of cards on them, I could not take close up of them all but at least I got them all.
Hope you like the boards. Leave me a comment and let me know. Otherwise I wont take them that way next time. I can just be selective and take the better ones like I usually do.

Congratulations Again Betsy.

More leadership boards and Kayla Time with Gators

Here are some more of the leadership boards that I photo'd.
Remember that you can click on the photo and actually see the cards closer

Then this is a photo of Gayle, Sheila and I waiting to go in the room for the demonstrations.
This next 2 photos is my daughter, Kayla and I, after Leadership I hung out with her for 3 days and she took me to see these gators. I was spooked, there were hundreds of them, there was no way to stop them if they came up the small hill. They had signs saying to stay 20 feet away from them but I wanted to get out of there. LOL.

Artisan Embellishments from Leadership

Here are some projects that were on display at leadership, these projects are beautiful. The talent that people have out there just amazes me.

This bottle is gorgeous. Never would have thought of that. I guess thats why I go to these things.
Hope you like my shares today.

More Leadership photos

Here are some more Leadership photos. Here is Gayle, Myself and Jen at Pajama Night and then Gayle and myself as well. I bought the pajamas as my gift to them, we usually always do something for each other. Of course I didnt know that the first year that I went. BUT, Now I do and you wont see me forgetting ever again. Gayle didnt see anything posted about a pajama night and I thought I was crazy afterwards because I couldnt find it either and we found out that it was posted on the updates and not on the Leadership info. Phew. I thought I was losing it. LOL. Gayle bought us our sparkly lanyards and Jen gave us a bag of candy to get us through all the classes. Life Saver She is.

Next is the photo of my Demonstrator Business Support specialist (AKA my Stampin' Up! Coach) Sara
She calls me every other week, sets challenges for me and helps me with staying on track to earn goals that we set together. She is new to me, Rett had to leave his position and she took his place but has been fabulous in filling his shoes. He was a great inspiration to me and I couldnt have earned FIJI without him. Now she is helping me learn new things like the importance of updating my blogs, facebook team page and my Demonstrator Business web site. Although I dont update my website as often, I do occasionally and now all my blog posts are linked to my website so check out my website too.
And now lastly I want to post a couple more of the WOW swap cards that this woman we met at the doors had swapped and let us take photos of....... I posted some more of these on my facebook team page so check it out and join my group on facebook as well.

Betty Creations and a contest

I was feeling like stamping tonight, designed my own too at that. # 1 was inspired by another but not at all like the original.  Not sure if I like them and would like you all to tell me what you think.
I would like you to be the judge and for being the judge, I will be offering a pack of More Amore DSP and Paper Doilies for free, I will do a random.org drawing and one person will win the package.
You have to tell me if you like #1 or #2 or neither or even both.
You can be honest. I like to know how I'm doing. Especially because I think I'm not that good at being creative. Here they are.......
#1This one uses Hearts a Flutter stamp set and Dies, Primrose petals Ink & Card stock, More Amore Dsp, Paper doily, Vanilla 1/8" taffeta, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Window and Modern label punches. Chevron Embossing Folder, Dimensionals and sponge to color the doily.
And #2This one uses Perfect Pair stamp set, More Amore dsp, Whisper White and Pool party card stock, paper doily, Silver Embossing Powder, versamark and Heat tool, Flower Trim ribbon, 1 1/4" two-tone ribbon in Pink pirouette/rose red and Honeycomb embossing folder.

Thanks for stopping by.

Leadership 2013 photos

Here is just a tease of some of the photos. I will post more tomorrow.
the first one is the welcome sign with Gayle Basset and I posing for our first photo.

Then we have the welcome sign going in to the room that all the displays are in. Also the Lunch room.
Then you have our packet that we got our goodies in and the goodies in the packet

Next is a Picture of Shelli Gardner (owner of Stampin' Up!) and I and Her with Gayle as well, these were taken at Managers Reception

Then the last one for today is Gayle and I drinking Butter Beer. We had to take this one several times because our first instinct is to lick our lips and then the mustache is gone. LOL. Hard to do.

Here is a Gwen Landis Creation with Henry Says Stamp set

My friend and downline, Gwen Landis made a cute little card using Henry Says, I thought I'd share it with you today and start with leadership posts in the morning. Here is her card creation.....
Here is what Gwen had to say in her email to me when she sent me the photo of her card.

Attached is the birthday card I made with the Henry Says set - isn't it cute? The patterned paper is retired (it's from the Fall Flowers DSP pack) but you could easily remake the card with current SU papers. The colors are Pool Party and Old Olive with some Basic Black and Whisper White. I stamped the elephant in black onto the striped paper and cut him out. I colored the little banners with markers and then stamped them on the white before gluing down the little cut-out elephant and I did use my stamp positioner to get them in the right place. As for the sentiment, I used the black marker to color the words separately so I could get them in a straight line rather than one above the other on my strip of white.

Very cute card don't you think?
Feel Free to leave Gwen a comment so she knows that you saw her card.
Hugs to all.
Thanks for stopping by.

I will post something tonight and schedule something for morning. While I was listening in on the conference call about Sale A Bration I downloaded my photos of leadership so I will post some of those for you.

Family Photos, I know non stamping related

Today is the Wake and Tomorrow is the funeral, I still have not downloaded  the photos from leadership. Since Dad passed while I was away, I have been working on arrangements. I promise as soon as this is over I will get to the leadership photos. In the meantime I want to share a photo of my family and of my mom and dad.

The first one is of my brother Shawn and my dad, then my mom and dad together and below is our whole family.

This photo of all of us was taken when I didnt like my hair. I had chopped it all off and it looked bad. LOL
But, this is my mom and dad, my sister and I and my 7 brothers. All the boys had initials of DAM because every time it was a boy my mom said DAM because she wanted a girl. Except for Shawn, His initials are SAM because he was born on the 4th of July. Isnt that a fun story.
I hope you like the photos I shared today. I am still very sad with the loss of my dad so I just had to share.
I know, its not stamping related but once in awhile that can be ok too.

This is another brayer card done by Gayle at Michelle Zindorf's class. Gayle is definitely interested in doing this class with us, doing something similar so news on that will follow.

Sad News about my dad

Today I am sitting here in Florida, my last day. Been doing a lot of talking on the phone since hearing that my dad(David Martell) has passed away in my absence. My dad has been quite sick for some time now and just before my leaving became seriously ill. He wanted me to keep my original plans and go to Leadership, So, I did. In my absence, they had to take him off the breathing tube and within 28 minutes of doing so, he passed away. :(
I am returning home tomorrow, Tuesday and heading to the funeral home to finalize the arrangements that I have been talking to people on the phone about all day today.
The services will be on Thursday from 7-9 pm at Heald Funeral Home in St. Albans and Friday at 2 pm at Holy Angels Church in St. Albans. We will not be going to a burial as his wishes were to be cremated. Thank you all for your support thus far and looking forward. Unless something changes between today and tomorrow, then that will be what we do. The add will appear in the Burlington Free Press hopefully on Wednesday morning if you want to pay your respects. Thanks again.
Hugs to all.

In thinking of my dad as I'm posting, I saw this card and had to share. This is a retired stamp called Sail Away and the bleach technique was used on this. Its a very nice card to give to a father.

Here is a card that I love love love. This card was made using the butterfly punch and I am going to make this at some of my workshops. If you'd like to schedule a workshop with me, you know how to contact me.

This flower idea using the butterfly punch is pretty cool and who ever figured it out, Kudos to them.
They also used the Scallop circle, the scallop oval and the large oval. Plus the square lattice embossing folder.
