Swaps that made it

So, these are my swaps......By now I have already swapped most of them out. Hoping to come home with some great new ideas and be fully refreshed for another great year. For this swap today, I have to give all the credit to Gail Macdougal. She saw the tutorial on splitcoast and created this and made them all for me. Its a heavy card but oh my its gorgeous. I will make one when I return so that you can all see it first hand. Once I show you, This will be one of our challenges in the future. So get ready. Here are several shots of this card, I wanted to capture all so you could really see.

Gail made me 25 of these and they took up 2 baggies. BUT I should get some wow cards in return.

Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I will share the next swap.
Today I will find out who made Founders Circle this year, Founders Circle is the Top 100 demonstrators. I would love to have made it but I dont really think I did good enough. Some of them sell 4 times what I sell in a year and its just incredible. Can't wait to see who the top 10 are.

Thanks for stopping by.

2nd swap that didnt make it

Today I will post the second Card that did not make the swap creations. I created this one while Gwen was here with a little inspiration from her. She was making the one that did make it and that will be tomorrow's post.
So, I should be having Breakfast in Utah at this point. I will be heading to the Riverton Campus Tour with Sandie about 830 am and we will be seeing the home office. I have seen it before but she has not and they will have new things on display anyway so It will still be fun.
So, here is the card that did not make it.

The only thing I was going to do differently when I got around to creating the card was to stamp the words on something and punch them to give it some pop. I feel the words are lost in this one. But, its a Betty Creation.
Thanks for stopping by.

Swap that did not make it

During the process of getting ready for convention I make lots of samples and then I sit and make what I make until I run out of time. Well, I'm sad to say that I have 2 that I wanted to do that did not make the cut. I just plain ran out of time.
Here is the first one that did not make it.

I love the card it just did not make it. I should have done this as soon as I created it so that I would have gotten it done. Gwen and I created this one together.
Whenever we get together we do come up with some good cards.
Thanks for stopping by today.
I'm already in the air or about to be by the time this posts. Hopefully I have safe travels and lots of fun at convention.

convention tomorrow morning

Hello everyone. I am heading out tomorrow morning and I have not even got the photos ready to post. UGH. I have to get crap done today. Having the grand kids here has slowed me down but not to worry, Things will pick up after convention. Getting swaps made was important too and I did succeed in getting a few done. So, I will have some ideas when I get back.

Stampin' Up! has decided to stop sale on the magnetic platform for now, They are expecting shipment of a few in August but as of Thursday you wont be able to order the platform until they turn it back on. SO, if you haven't already ordered it and want to, Email me today. I'm placing an order tonight and then I will be gone but you can go to my website to order it tomorrow, Thursday morning it will be turned off until further notice. The demand for them has exceeded their expectation and the supplier cannot keep up.

Anyway here is a photo for today.......

Here are two of the cards from the Bombs away Card class to go. These were our own creations. I had fun with this set. If you want to get the stamp set, it is still available for sale. Hope to see more participation in the class to go.
Love how we made records for the wall of fame on that one card to the left. LOL.

challenge card from week of event

So apparently I forgot to post one of the challenge cards from the week of the event. Here is Laurie's Card from that challenge.

lots of fun stuff and Mastering Monday challenge

Look what I just got in the mail on Saturday. My convention badge. WOOHOO. I am soooo excited. Its a little over a week away. Memento mall goes live today online so I can order everything and have it delivered here before I leave. Awesome. Can't wait.
Now I have a card to share that Laurie Sent in to me. Somehow I missed her other one. This card uses crystal effects and you cant really see the effect of it but it sounds awesome. She says it looks and feels like a canvas painting. I can't remember how she said to spread it but maybe she will post it under comments.

You can't see the technique in this picture, but it looks and feels like a canvas painting. I also used the distress tool on the edges.
Early Espresso paper
Pear pizzaz and Poppy Parade markers
Certainly Celery ribbon
Scallop oval and oval punches
Petite Pairs and pleasant poppies stamp sets
Early  espresso ink

Mastering Monday Challenge
Ok so lets do this, Lets use a framelit or some special cut and then use banner strips, the ones you flag the ends with. A greeting and a punched piece, and emboss the framelit piece. Kind of like we did at the customer appreciation event. Here is the one we did there. Dont copy this one but make it similar and make it your own.

Stampin' up! promotions

So I'm a little behind in announcing all the specials going on right now.
I have a hard time keeping up with all the other bloggers out there, They post things faster than me. I am soooo busy that I just can't keep up.
I'm 5 days late in telling you about the DSP special. Believe me, its not because I didnt plan to tell you but with the holiday and all Its just hard to keep up.
The Designer Series Special is..... Buy 3 and get one free of select DSP. See the list on my website of all the ones you can choose from. You get to pick which ones you want and get one free. WOOHOO. I love when this promotion happens. FREE, who doesn't love free. Below is a glimpse of them all.

The next special is the Photo polymer stamp set, Set Sail. You can order this set for $13.95 plus tax and Shipping. I love this set. I am definitely ordering this one.

And also the Best of Stamp set for July, Best of Shelli. For $14.95 plus tax and shipping, you can have this stamp set. If you haven't gotten any of the best of stamp sets, there is one set for each month and when you buy 6 sets and save the sticker you get a free stamp set valued at $14.95 and if you buy all 12 and save the sticker you get 2 free stamp sets at $14.95. Also, for anyone who buys them all, FROM ME. You will get a gift from me in the end as well. That will be a surprise.

I was busy with getting ready for a 50th Birthday party for my brother Shawn. He is a special guy and I have to say he is a special brother. I dont have a favorite but lets just say he's special. We have been through alot. So, for his 50th birthday we threw a party at My sisters house on the 4th of July.
here is a great photo of us that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. Happy 50th to my brother Shawn.
Just in case you dont remember, my mother had 7 boys and 2 girls, She said DAM when ever a boy was born(because she wanted a girl) so they all have initials DAM except Shawn because he was born on the 4th of July so his initials needed to be SAM. So she named him Shawn.
He kept me going in life quite often. He challenged me and made me ask my self, is that what I want, Is that where I want to go with life and how do I want to get to where I want to be. He helped me be who I am today. He has been my protector and my friend throughout our childhood and our adult life. He's just always been there for me. He's my hero. :)
There isn't anything that he wouldn't do for me nor me for him.
Thanks to my brother for helping me see who I wanted to be, I LOVE YOU Brother.
Thanks for being patient with me and my extremely busy schedule and for reading about my brother.

Happy 4th and challenge cards

So here is another birthday card I made for my niece who is 35 today She was born on the 4th of July as well. Happy Birthday to both Shawn and to Sarah. We are having a party today for them, woohoo.
So, I shared the card I made my brother, now the card I made Sarah.

The only problem is, It opens upside down. I accidently created it so it opens the wrong way. Thats ok though, I'll wait till she is drunk. LOL.

Now, I have some challenge cards, Betsy has not been able to participate so I went on her facebook photos and took her baby cards off there to share here. So, here are Betsy's baby cards.
This was from a punch class
that I did last year I think.

Love that this one uses so many punches.
Great Job Betsy

Love this one the elephant is adorable
I did a card similar to this
awhile ago using that same stamp
set. I miss that one.

So there are all the cards I took from her facebook album. Its nice to see her using all the product that she buys from me. Hope your arm is better soon Betsy.
HUGS TO YOU.

Happy 4th Everyone. Stay Safe but have fun.

Birthday card using perfect blend

I love the perfect Blend stamp set, and the alphabet embossing folder. I made this card for my brothers 50th birthday, I was teasing him about being 50 and he warned me that I am next and he will make sure that I know when I've hit 50. He loves coffee and he also thinks he's all that, He is but dont tell him I said that. LOL. So this says, Given enough coffee, I could rule the world temporarily. That is so something he would say. He was born on the fourth of July.
You all remember the story about my brothers having DAM for initials because every time mom had a boy she said DAM. Well Shawn was born on the 4th so his initials are SAM
My mom was creative. Can't believe she had 9 kids and to top it off, 7 of them are boys. UGH. LOL.

Anyway, I love my brother Shawn, we are a year apart and challenged each other growing up so we did well together. I love all my family but he has a special place in my heart.

Ok well off to work now.
Have a wonderful day. Today is my last day to work this week. WOOHOO.

Challenge Cards Woohoo

Today I have some of the challenge cards for this week to share. Jen Lesage already had these to me last night. Awesome job Jen.

Thanks Jen, these are adorable.

I have some birthday cards that I made last night for my brother and my niece who were both born on the fourth of July. My brother is just a year older than me which means he is 50 this year. I was picking on him at the wedding we attended in May but he warned me that I am not far off and he will make sure that I know that I AM 50 when the time comes. LOL. This is going to be fun.

Growing up, my brother and I had some really fun times and we always challenged each other to do better. So, maybe that is what has made us both so successful. He has his own construction business and I have my Stamp business and my Fletcher Allen Job. We have been so close and I love him so much. Cant wait to celebrate with him on the 4th.
Have a wonderful day.

Baby Shower Invite, This weeks challenge

Today's Card and Challenge is a Baby Shower invite, card or thank you card.
That's right a baby shower card of some sort. My sister in law called me up and said oh can you help me make a baby shower invite, my daughter is making me a grandma. So, Of course I said heck ya.
Here is what we came up with........

This one was my favorite
We used retired stamps because when she called me I asked her what she wanted and this is the set she chose so I ordered it for her along with the pinks that were retiring as well before they ran out.
So, we embossed the card with the fan embossing folder and several layers using white and pretty in pink and regal rose. I am going to miss those two colors. Then we did the scallop and label punches using daffodil and the circle and ovals using white, Stamped in Daffodil and Espresso. Popped the punched pieces with dimensional's and TaDa!!!!!!!
We created a masterpiece.
So, now I want you to create a similar card either making it a congratulations baby or a thank you for shower gift. I'm sure she'll be asking me for the thank you cards too. Or you can create your own swing to the invitation too. She is also getting some ribbon to put a bow just above the you're invited.
Don't you just love this card.
Have a wonderful day.
Thanks again for a great year. Today starts a new Stampin' Up! year and I dont know what trip I'll be working for but I can't wait to find out in just 2 short weeks. Convention is coming.
