Stampin Success Story

Hello my friends,
My friend and downline, Gwen, emailed me at work yesterday and said, IS THAT YOU?
I had to open the email to see what she was talking about, She found me on the cover of Stampin' Success Magazine. This is the magazine that consultants get for inspiration. This is also the magazine that my convention story was in during October. There are several tiny pictures of demonstrators on the cover of the 25 year magazine issue.
Attached is the picture of the cover, I am located just below the pink ribbon......
My Stampin Coach called last night and I asked her how they choose who they put on and she said she didnt know that. I am sure its random but its an honor to be on or in that magazine. Hope you like my share today. I was busy last night making cards using the new product from both the new spring catalog and the sale a bration. We are able to order the product ahead so we can start getting ideas ready and I got them last week but just found the time to make something. So, stay tuned for photos coming soon.
Thanks for stopping by.........HUGS

Emboss resist

Here is a technique that I love to do. Its called Emboss resist. I did this card awhile ago but thought I would share it since I havent posted it on here before and some of you are new.
First I stamped the flower image in Chocolate chip, because you can't stamp that after you emboss, Let it dry now that our stamps are moist and dont dry as quick. Also, you want to stamp the Words up top in case you go too high with the doily stamp so that  you can still get the words in, You should try to keep the doily just below the words.
I used the Hello Doily stamp, Inked it in versamark and stamped it to the card, not showing the whole image but most of it. Sprinkled the Clear embossing powder over it and heated it. Then sponged it with pool party and daffodil deligh. I made sure and Kept it low enough so that the words didnt get covered but almost went up to the words.
Then when you are sponging, start with the yellow first then the blue and randomly sponge in circular motion all around the card. The brads used here are now retired but are on the clearance list. I used chocolate chip, whisper white and pool party card stock.
Thats all for now, Thanks for stopping by. I am in the process of stamping some stuff with the new mini but I havent completed anything yet.
Until Next time, dont forget to check out what is on the clearance rack at www.bettybutton.stampinup.net

Thanks
Betty

Holiday Cards and a Giveaway

Holiday Cards and a giveaway, Here are the cards I have been working on and I'm including a surprise in for everyone. Please watch your mail carefully for this envelope and you might just be a lucky winner as well.

The card is something I just saw on Pinterest and loved it, thought I'd use up some of the leftover holiday DSP that I have kicking around and some White card stock that I had mostly cut I had to cut the raspberry ripple card stock and the ribbon. I punched all the white circles with the 2 1/2 inch circle punch and then the dsp with the same punch. ran the white circles through the big shot using the holiday framelits and the ornament framelits and then embossed them with the snowburst folder which has retired but I love it. This was a fun card to make and my friend Debbie came to help me out with them. Some of them are crooked but its the thought that counts. HUGS. Thanks Debbie for helping me.
Thanks for stopping by.

My First Christmas card I received in the mail.

This card was made by one of my customers, Betsy Rotax. She used the ornament punch and it looks like she used tin cans of some sort to punch the ornament. What a great idea. Thanks Betsy for a beautiful card.

Watch your mail. Thanks for checking in today.

Matchbox die(retired) Jewelry Box

 Matchbox die Jewelry Box(4 Sided)

I had seen these online before but never had a chance to figure out how to make them and Gail Macdougal wanted to attempt it and asked to borrow my die. SO I let her and she made me one for my granddaughter as well. Here it is. Isnt it great.
I know she used Flirtatious DSP also but that is retired as well. Any DSP would work for this.
The first photo shows all of the drawers on one side but keep in mind that this has 4 sides to it.
All of the drawers open, 16 (Correction 24) of them. Its just beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by.

A photo and a birthday today.

This picture was made by one of my customers(Gail Macdougal). I asked her to help me design a card for another customer(Debbie Kellogg) who loves m&m's. So she came up with this, not a card but she did post something on the back. I saw a post somewhere else about m&m's and thought of this so I went searching to find it just so I could post it. This was made out of  Stampin up punches. If you want the punches she used I'll have to ask Gail.
Maybe if Gail comes on to see this, she can post it in the comment section.

Hope you like our photo today

I also have something else to share today. 28 years ago today, My handsome boy was born, I went to the doctors on the morning of the 5th and was told that I was in labor, HMMM Didnt even know it. So, he sent me to the hospital to get checked in because I was going to be having my baby. I did not know what I was having but I did suspect it was a boy. I was sick for my whole pregnancy so his father called him baby Ralph. LOL.
Anyway, that day while I was in labor it started snowing, My sister was supposed to be with us for our baby's birth, about midnight her husband called her and told her she had to come  home, it was snowing up a storm, We got dumped on. It snowed for the whole next day.
Anyway, Jimmy(my sons father) was now very nervous because he had to do this alone now, but he stayed with me.  Finally after 36 hours of Labor, my son was born via c-section and 9 pounds 1/2 ounce and 21 inches long. He was too big for me to deliver. Anyway, just wanted to share that today is his birthday. Happy Birthday Scott Allen Ellsworth, I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART.
Thanks for Stopping By.

Scrapbooking Class

With the Help of 2 of My Downline(Mindy and Sandie), we are holding a scrapbooking originally created by Rhonda Wade, one of the top 100 demonstrators. She put together the class and training for us to purchase and we are creating her version, Mindy's version and Sandie's version to share with you at this event.

This class will give you 20 completed pages to scrapbook your christmas photos. So, make sure you  take lots of photos over the Holiday season. This event will take place on 2 days, for part one and part 2, January 20 and 27th and will cost you $50 unless you bring a NEW Guest, then you will pay only $45 each. Thats right your NEW guest will get all of you in your group a $5 discount.

The only catch is, we need to have payment for this class by December 31st because the Kit we are using is in the current mini and it ends on Jan. 2 so we want to be sure to have money in hand to order the supplies for the event.

You will each get a Scrapping Kit(we will cut the pieces ahead for you) and the plastic protector pages to put all of your pages in plus all the supplies you will need to make the pages. The kit alone is $21.95 plus shipping and tax, so you will be getting your money's worth.

There will be prizes and fun things so come and join us.
Watch for an email with full details and be sure to save the date and tell your friends.

Sorry the picture didnt come out so good, the lighting here is not the best. I'm working on that.
Thanks for stopping by.
